  • Forty percent (40%) of voters say it is a good time to be looking for a job.
    • That is down 6 points from September and 9 points from July.
    • Overall, 47% say it is a bad time to be looking for a job.
    • Sixty percent (60%) of Republicans say it is a good time to look for a job, while 62% of Democrats disagree.
  • In addition, 29% of voters say businesses in their area are hiring, while 30% say they are more likely to be laying off.
    • Republicans are, again, more optimistic, with 42% saying businesses are hiring.
    • Just 19% of Democrats say businesses are hiring.
  • A large majority (63%) say it is at least Somewhat Difficult to find a job, while 26% disagree.
    • That number includes 23% who say it is Very Difficult and 6% who say it is Not at All Difficult.
    • These numbers are largely unchanged since April.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, December 1-2, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
