  • At least a plurality of voters believe every branch of government has too much power.
    • A majority (52%) believe the president holds too much power, while 44% believe Congress does, as well as 44% for the Supreme Court.
  • Forty-four percent (44%) of voters believe the Supreme Court has too much power.
    • That group is split among those who believe it has far too much (17%) and somewhat too much (27%).
    • Thirty-three percent (33%) believe it is about the right amount, while 17% believe it is too little.
  • Likewise, 44% of voters believe that Congress has too much power.
    • Those totals include 19% who say it has far too much and 25% who say somewhat too much (25%).
    • Thirty percent (30%) believe it is about the right amount, while 20% believe it is too little.
  • Fifty-two percent (52%) of voters believe the President has too much power.
    • That group is split among those who believe it has far too much (17%) and somewhat too much (27%).
    • This is in stark contrast to our August 2024 poll while Biden was in office, in which only 35% of both Democrats and Republicans believed the President had too much power.
