Fifty-five percent (55%) of voters favor President-elect Donald Trump's plan to declare a national emergency to deal with the problem of illegal immigration. A Napolitan News survey found that 38% are opposed.
Declaring a national emergency would allow the president to use military forces to assist in the deportation of illegal immigrants. Support for the plan comes from 62% of Hispanic voters, 57% of White voters, and 50% of Black voters.
This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen November 18-19, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
