  • Currently, nearly two in three voters (63%) say that, today, getting COVID is pretty much the same as getting the flu or a bad cold.
    • That number has showed little change since January of 2025.
  • Meanwhile, half (51%) of voters say that the worst of the pandemic is behind us.
    • That is down from 56%, where it had stayed since September of 2023.
    • Twenty-eight percent (28%) of voters say the worst is still to come.


The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen September 9-10. 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
