Just 35% of voters say the United States health care system is Good or Excellent. That number has been fairly steady since 2022, with the exception of January, when it fell to 25%. On the other hand, 30% say U.S. health care is poor.

That outlook isn't surprising; 78% of voters agree the CDC has been captured by Big Pharma. Another 67% Say Obamacare needs significant reforms.

But despite all the negativity, a resounding 61% of voters say their own health care is Good or Excellent. Just 11% consider it Poor. Similarly, 60% describe their own insurance as Good or Excellent, while 13% consider it Poor. These numbers cross party lines: about 7 in 10 Republicans answer Good or Excellent to their own care and insurance, along with 6 in 10 Democrats.

Even among voters making less than $35,000 per year, a majority (54%) say their health insurance is Good or Excellent. Slightly less (49%) say the same of their health care, while 1 in 5 call it Poor.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, August 24-25, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
