  • More than three quarters (78%) of registered voters at least Somewhat agree that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has been captured by big pharmaceutical companies, and that the CDC serves big pharma more than the American people.
    • This is up 11 points from September, when 67% said the same.
    • Just 13% of voters disagree.
    • Those totals include 38% who Strongly Agree and just 5% who Strongly Disagree.
    • An overwhelming majority (87%) of Republicans and Democrats (74%) agree.
    • Even more voters who talk politics almost daily (90%) say that big pharma has captured the CDC.
  • By a 48% to 34% margin, voters say the CDC's recent decision to drop its recommendation that all infants receive the Hepatitis B vaccine was primarily politically motivated, rather than based on a changing understanding of the science.
    • Democrats say the decision was political by a 62% to 24% margin.
    • Republicans say it was based on science by a 47% to 32% margin
    • A majority (55%) of voters who talk politics daily or almost every day say the recommendation is based on a changing understanding of the science.
    • Voters with children at home also say the decision was based on science by a 46% to 40% margin.
    • Voters under 35 are least likely to say the motivation was political (37%), compared to 67% of voters over 65.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, December 9-10, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
