  • An overwhelming majority (82%) of voters say they are proud to be an American.
    • That number is up from 79% in August, but down from 88% in November of 2024.
    • Just 9% say they are not proud to be American.
    • Republicans claim they are proud to be an American by a staggering 97% to 1% margin.
    • Democrats agree by an overwhelming 69% to 16% margin.
    • Even the most disenchanted group in our four-way choice question (voters preferring policies similar to those advocated by AOC) maintain a healthy majority who are proud to be American.
  • Half (50%) of all voters agree that America is the last best hope of mankind.
    • This includes 72% of Republicans, but just 32% of Democrats.
    • A plurality (43%) of Democrats disagree.
  • More than half of voters (53%) also believe that America's best days are still to come.
    • This number has been 53% or higher since June 2024, with a peak of 57% in November 2024.
    • About a third (30%) disagree and say that America's best days have come and gone.
    • Republicans believe the best days are still to come by a 70% to 15% margin.
    • Democrats are divided. Thirty-seven percent (37%) believe the best days are still to come, while a plurality (45%) say those days have come and gone.
    • A majority of postgraduates (68%) say the best days are still to come.

The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, October 8-9, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
