  • When it comes to public statements about politics and public policy, a solid plurality (44%) of registered voters say the Republican party twists the data more to serve its own purposes.
    • One third (33%) say the Democratic party twists the data more.
    • Another 21% say that both parties twist the data equally.
  • As you'd expect, the parties see things differently. But while Democrats overwhelmingly blame Republicans (62% to 24%), Republicans are more divided.
    • By a 45% to 34% margin, Republicans say the Democratic party twists the data more than their own party.
    • A closer look reveals that a solid majority (57%) of voters who prefer Trump-like policies blame the Democrats, but voters who prefer a traditional Republican candidate are split.
  • Among traditional Republican voters, one quarter (25%) blame the Democrats more, while 37% blame both sides equally and 35% actually blame Republicans more.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, October 29-30, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
