  • A plurality (43%) of voters say the events that will take place in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States are primarily partisan political events.
    • One third (34%) say they are non-partisan patriotic celebrations.
    • One quarter (23%) are not sure.
    • The parties are divided: 51% of Republicans say the events are non-partisan, but 57% of Democrats disagree and say the events are partisan.
  • Although several artists pulled out of performing at a Freedom 250 concert in D.C. for political reasons, 60% say it is more important to come together to celebrate the 250th anniversary.
    • One third (33%) say it is more important for artists to use their platform to make political statements.
    • Most Republicans (84%) say it's more important to come together to celebrate.
    • Half (50%) of Democrats say it's more important for artists to use their platform to make political statements.
    • Still, 38% of Democrats say it's more important to come together.
    • Voters preferring traditional Democratic policy are split evenly; 42% say coming together in unity is more important and 45% disagree.
    • However, voters who prefer AOC policies say political statements are more important by a margin of 64% to 27% margin.
  • Many voters (56%) are following the news about the 250th celebrations in D.C., including 18% who are watching Very Closely.
    • Still, 53% are not following the news about the celebrations closely.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, June 3-4, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
