  • When asked to respond in their own words, 33% of voters say the economy is the most important issue right now.
    • Among 2,000 Registered Voters, politics (22%), immigration (14%), and social issues (9%) also ranked highly.
    • Foreign policy (6%), healthcare (5%), and climate (2%) are far less commonly at the top of voters minds.
  • For Republicans, the top three issues identified as most important were economy (37%), immigration (22%), and politics (14%).
    • For Democrats, the top three issues were politics (31%), the economy (30%), and social issues (10%).
    • These results are following a trend seen in our September 24th poll, where the economy is on top, but has steadily decreased from early August highs of 40%.
