  • This week, economic optimism improved, as 33% of registered voters rate the economy as Good or Excellent, up 5 points from 2 weeks ago, and up 2 points from a month ago.
    • Thirty-two percent (32%) rate the economy as Poor, down 5 points from 2 weeks ago.
    • A majority of Republicans (55%) say the economy is Good or Excellent, up 6 points from 2 weeks ago, and up 3 points from a month ago.
    • Only 15% of Republican voters say the economy is Poor.
    • Democrats' views are not quite so optimistic: just 16% say the economy is Good or Excellent, while 47% say it is Poor.
  • Only 31% of voters say the economy is getting better, and 48% say it is getting worse.
    • These numbers mirror the sentiment from two weeks ago.
    • A month ago, 33% said the economy was getting better and 44% saying it was getting worse.
    • Fifty-six percent (56%) of Republicans say it is getting better (the same as 2 weeks ago), and 20% say it is getting worse.
    • In contrast, 74% of Democrats say it is getting worse, and just 11% say it is getting better.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, February 2-3, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
