Just 26% Think The Government Should Provide Incentives For EV Purchases

11/21/2024

Just 26% believe the government should provide incentives for people to buy Electric Vehicles. A Napolitan News survey found that 67% oppose such incentives and believe the government should simply let consumers decide which car is best for them.

Currently, the federal government provides a $7,500 subsidy for those purchasing Electric Vehicles. Sixty-one percent (61%) of voters favor a proposal to eliminate those subsidies. That support comes from 76% of Republicans and 53% of Democrats.

This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen November 18-19, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
