Most voters (53%) prefer to live in a community where people are allowed to own guns, while 38% say they would prefer to live where guns are outlawed.
- Those numbers have changed little over the past year.
Among the Elite One Percent,* 72% prefer to live in communities where guns are outlawed.
- Frighteningly, 59% also believe that a majority aggrees with them on this issue.

*The Elite One Percent is defined as voters who have a postgraduate degree, live in a densely populated urban area, and earn at least $150,000 annually.
