  • A plurality of voters (46%) say that China is a Force for Evil, down 10 points from March.
    • Nineteen percent (19%) say China is a Force for Good, which is a new high.
    • One quarter (26%) say China is neither a Force for Good or Evil.
    • A majority of Republicans (55%) call China a Force for Evil, while a plurality (36%) of Democrats agree. say China is a Force for Evil.
    • About 1 quarter from each party agree that China is neither a Force for Good nor Evil.
  • Three quarters (74%) of voters say that Iran is Force for Evil.
    • This number is up 4 points from January, and up 8 points since last June.
    • Most Republicans (88%) say Iran is a Force for Evil.
    • Although 62% of Democrats say Iran is a Force for Evil, another 25% say it is neither a Force for Good or Evil.
    • Just 56% of voters under 35 say Iran is a Force for Evil, and 28% say it's neither.
  • Italy is considered a Force for Good by 67% of voters.
    • A very small percentage of voters (5%) consider it a Force for Evil.
  • Pluralities consider Indonesia (32%) and Nigeria (30%) as neither a Force for Good or Evil, while Argentina is split between those who view it as a Force for Good (34%) and those who say neither (31%).
    • The parties were fairly aligned with each other on these countries.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, May 20-21, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
