  • Currently, 45% of voters say Iran was a threat to U.S. national security prior to the attacks on February 28th, while another 41% disagree.
    • The number of voters saying Iran was a threat is down 3 points since the fighting began, while the number saying it was not is up 9 points.
    • Unsurprisingly, overwhelming majorities of Republicans say Iran was a threat, while overwhelming numbers of Democrats say it was not.
  • Eight in 10 voters (79%) are now at least Somewhat Concerned that U.S. action in Iran will lead to attacks on U.S. soil.
    • That number includes 40% of voters who are Very Concerned.
    • Three quarters (73%) of Republicans are concerned, with 25% being Very Concerned.
    • Nine out of 10 Democrats (87%) are concerned about attacks on U.S. soil, including 57% who are Very Concerned.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, March 18-19, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
