  • Just 23% of voters say that the government should provide healthcare benefits to illegal immigrants.
    • A large majority (62%) disagree and say that the government should not provide benefits.
    • By a 77% to 17% margin, Republicans say we should not provide illegal immigrants healthcare.
    • Democrats agree, but by a more modest 48% to 32% margin.
  • However, only 43% of voters are aware that the federal government currently provides healthcare to illegal immigrants.
    • Forty-percent (40%) disagree and say we do not.
    • A majority (59%) of Republicans know that we do, while a majority (56%) of Democrats say we do not.
  • Among those who say the federal government does not provide healthcare to illegal immigrants, again, just 23% say that we should.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, October 27-28, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
