While the most important economic indicator is whether people believe their own personal finances are getting better or worse, perceptions of the overall economy show similar trends this week. In a survey conducted just before a judicial panel ruled against Trump's tariff authority, perceptions of the economy had retreated a bit from two weeks ago but remained higher than a month ago.
- Twenty-eight percent (28%) of voters rated the economy as good or excellent, while 34% said poor.
- Those figures are a bit more pessimistic than two weeks ago but a bit more optimistic than a month ago.
