  • After last month's low ratings, approval on the way President Trump is handling top issues is largely the same, with some marginal improvement.
    • One notable exception is on National Security, where 49% of voters approve of his handling of the issue. That's down 3 points from a month ago and 7 from December.
  • The Economy is usually the most important issue for voters, and this month, 41% approve of the way President Trump is handling the Economy.
    • This is up 2 points from February, but down 3 from January.
    • A strong majority (59%) disapprove, including 43% who Strongly Disapprove.
  • Another important issue is Immigration, and 46% approve of Trump's handling in that area, up 2 points from February.
    • More than half (53%) disapprove, also a new high, including 40% who Strongly Disapprove.
  • Regarding Healthcare, just 43% approve of Trump's handling.
    • This has bounced up from February's 37% rating back to January's rating of 43%.
    • More than half (54%) disapprove of Trump's handling of Healthcare, including 39% who Strongly Disapprove.
    • Interestingly, only 4% recently rated Healthcare as most important in an open-ended question last week, and 12% said it was most important compared to other categories a few weeks ago.
  • With the highest rating, nearly half (49%) of voters approve of President Trump's handling of National Security, but 50% disapprove.
    • Tied with that approval rating, 49% approve of his handling of Crime, while 48% disapprove.
    • Education is next in line for approval at 47%, and 50% disapprove.
  • Being the party in the White House, large majorities of Republicans approve of President Trump's handling of every issue, and Democrats largely disapprove.
    • For example, 76% of Republicans approve of Trump's handling of the Economy, but 91% of Democrats disapprove.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, March 16-19, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
