  • A plurality says that either proposed federal budget on the table will raise government spending.
    • Voters believe the Republican plan will raise spending by a 44% to 26% margin.
    • Voters also say the Democratic budget will raise spending by a 48% to 20% margin.
  • Majorities of both parties say that the opposing budget will raise spending, while there is some question about what their own plan will do.
    • Republicans say the Republican plan will bring spending DOWN by a 36% to 32% margin.
    • Democrats acknowledge that the Democratic plan will bring spending UP by a 39% to 27% margin.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, October 27-28, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
