In March, 46% of voters considered themselves Republicans or leaned Republican, while 41% considered themselves Democrats or leaned Democrat.
These totals, derived from interviews with 9,300 Registered Voters during the month of March, have remained steady for the first quarter of 2025.
Fifty-one percent (51%) of men said they were Republicans or leaned Republican while 38% said the opposite (down 4 points from February). Among women, the numbers were little changed with 46% Democrat/lean Democrat and 41% Republican/lean Republican.
While the Republicans gained ground since October, those gains have leveled off as the Trump administration approaches its first 100 days in office.
