  • Forty percent (40%) of voters say the government spends too much on SNAP, while just 19% say it spends too little.
    • These totals include 20% who say Far Too Much, and 7% who say Much Too Little.
    • Another 25% say the current spending levels, about $100 billion per year, are about right.
  • A majority (58%) of Republicans, say the government spends too much, but just 23% of Democrats agree. 
    • Thirty percent (30%) of Democrats say spending is about right, while 30% say it is too little.
  • Interestingly, voters making between $75,000 and $150,000 per year are the most likely to say not enough is being spent. Twenty-eight percent (28%) feel this way.
    • Just 19% of those making less than $35,000 per year say it is too little, and even fewer (11%) of those making $35,000 to $50,000 agree.

 


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, Nevermber 10-11, 2025 RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
