  • Almost half of voters (48%) say it's at least somewhat likely that President Trump's proposed peace plan will lead to lasting peace in Israel and Gaza.
    • This is up 15 points from the 33% who said the same last week, in a survey finished just before the ceasefire was signed.
    • This week, 15% say it is Very Likely.
    • Almost 4 in 10 (39%) say it is at least somewhat unlikely that the plan will lead to lasting peace. This percentage includes 15% who say it is Not at All Likely.
    • Sixty-five percent (65%) of Republican voters say the plan will bring lasting peace.
    • Half of Democrats (52%) think it is not likely to bring peace.
    • Among those who talk politics every day, 39% say the plan is Very Likely to bring lasting peace, and 27% say it's Somewhat Likely.
  • A majority (53%) say President Trump deserves Some credit or A Lot of credit for bringing about the ceasefire.
    • Another 38% say he deserves A Little or No Credit.
    • Those numbers include a 31% who give him A Lot of credit, and 18% who give him none. 
    • As expected, 78% of Republicans say President Trump deserves at least Some credit, while a majority of Democrats (61%) say he deserves A Little or none.


The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, October 13-14, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
