  • More than half (56%) of registered voters still favor the Trump administration's efforts to deport some illegal immigrants, with 36% who Strongly Favor it.
    • Thirty-nine percent (39%) oppose the efforts.
    • The number who favor the efforts went down 3 points from earlier in this week, but it's up 4 points from mid-December.
    • By a margin of 67% to 25%, Democrats oppose the deportation efforts.
    • An overwhelming majority (86%) of Republicans favor the efforts.
    • The opinions of Hispanic voters are mixed, with 47% favoring and 50% opposing.
  • The same as earlier this week, 40% say the Trump Administration has gone too far.
    • Twenty-eight percent (28%) say the administration has not gone far enough, and 27% say the deportation levels are about right.
    • These numbers have been fairly consistent over the past several months, with no noticable difference from the shooting of Renee Good.
  • Consistent for decades, 85% say legal immigration is good for the United States.
    • Nearly two thirds (69%) of voters say legal immigration is good, while illegal is bad. Another 16% say legal AND illegal is good.
    • Just 10% of voters consider legal immigration bad for the country.
    • Only 3% of Republicans think both legal and immigration is good, and 28% of Democrats feel the same.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, January 14-15, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
