  • Only 42% of voters said that the State of the Union address is happening this week.
    • Another 38% are not sure.
    • Smaller numbers said the address happened last week (6%), thought it was next week (6%), or didn't think it had been scheduled (7%).
    • Democrats were slightly more informed, with 49% saying the State of the Union address is this week.
    • This may be due to several planned protests.
  • Among all voters, only 10% know the State of the Union is happening this week AND will Definitely watch.
    • Historically, in presidential debates, this number is a good indicator of actual viewing numbers.
    • Nineteen percent (19%) of all voters said they are Not at All Likely to watch the address.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, February 23-24, 2026, YYYY. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
