  • In terms of their daily lives, 70% of registered voters say their faith or religion is important to them, with 44% saying it is Very Important.
    • The total number includes strong majorities of Republicans (83%) and Democrats (61%).
    • Only 30% say faith or religion is Not Very or Not at All Important.
    • This number is identical to last year, but 6 points lower than in 2022.
  • A smaller, but significant majority (57%) say they pray several times a week.
    • This is down 9 points from March 2024, but up 2 points from last March 2025.
    • That total includes 42% who say they pray Every Day or Nearly Every Day.
    • One quarter (25%) say they rarely or never pray.
  • One quarter (26%) of voters attend church, synagogue, or another religious service of some kind at least once a week.
    • More than half (55%) Rarely or Never attend a service. This is up 7 points from April 2025, and the highest number since 2022.
  • Similarly, 23% say they read their Bible about once a week or more.
    • This includes 12% of voters who say they read on a daily basis.
    • About half (51%) of voters say they rarely or never read the Bible.
    • These numbers have not changed much over the last several years.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, January 28-29, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
