  • Currently, 29% of registered voters have a favorable view of United States Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and 40% have an unfavorable view.
    • His visibility has increased since November of 2024, resulting in a mild 4-point bounce in his favorables, but a 14-point spike in his unfavorable numbers.
    • Republicans favor Hegseth by a 47% to 18% margin.
    • As might be expected, a large majority (62%) of Democrats view Hegseth unfavorably, and only 13% view him favorably.
  • Director of the FBI, Kash Patel, has a favorable rating of 29% and an unfavorable rating of 37%.
    • A plurality of Republicans (47%) have a favorable opinion of Patel, while 19% have an unfavorable opinion.
    • Democrats have the opposite opinion, with only 15% viewing Patel favorably, and 51% viewing him unfavorably.
  • With similar ratings to Patel, United States Attorney General Pam Bondi has a favorable rating of 29% and an unfavorable rating of 36%.
    • More Republicans (47%) than Democrats (15%) have a favorable opinion of Bondi.
    • Likewise, more Democrats (55%) than Republicans (15%) have an unfavorable opinion of Bondi.
  • United States Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, is viewed favorably by 27% of voters, but 37% view her unfavorably.
    • Similar to Hegseth, Noem's favorable rating has gone up 5 points since November 2024, but her unfavorable rating has also gone up 12 points since then.
    • Forty-four percent (44%) of Republican voters have a favorable opinion of Noem, but only 13% of Democrats feel the same.
    • Conversely, 57% of Democrats have an unfavorable opinion of Noem, but only 13% of Republicans say the same.
    • More men (33%) than women (22%) view Noem favorably.
  • Voters making more than $150,000 annually have net positive ratings for every politician listed here.
    • Voters who talk politics daily or nearly every day also give net positive ratings to all politicians listed.
  • Roughly one third of voters have either never heard of these candidates, or don't know enough about them to have an opinion.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, December 10-11, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
