When asked to respond in their own words, 39% of voters say the economy is the most important issue right now.
- Among 2,000 Registered Voters, politics (18%), and immigration (17%) also ranked highly.
- Social Issues (9%), Healthcare (7%) and Foreign Policy (4%) are far less commonly at the top of voters' minds.
- For Republicans, the top three issues identified as most important were economy (40%), immigration (25%), and politics (11%)
- For Democrats, the top three issues were Economy (37%), Politics (26%), and Social Issues (11%).
- Voters have recently spoken out with concern to the job market and the US economy.
