  • Seventy-one percent (71%) of registered voters favor the idea of a $2000 tariff dividend, an idea floated earlier this week by President Trump. 
    • Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Favor the idea.
    • Only 22% of voters oppose this idea; 13% Strongly Oppose.
    • Majorities of both parties favor the idea, with 88% of Republicans in favor, and 56% of Democrats.
    • A large majority of voters with low and high incomes favor the dividend, with at least 78% of those making less than $50K in favor as well as 69% of those making over $150K. 
  • However, only 37% say it is likely that the government will actually issue such a dividend to most Americans. A majority (55%) say it is unlikely.
    • Just 13% say a dividend is Very Likely.
    • One quarter (24%) say the $2000 dividend is Not at All Likely.
    • Half of Republicans (52%) and only 21% of Democrats say it is likely the dividend will actually be issued.
    • Conversely, 40% of Democrats say a dividend is Not at All Likely, and only 10% of Republicans agree.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, November 12-13, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
