  • As chaos growns in Minneapolis, in a survey conducted just prior to the shooting of Alex Pretti, the president's approval on Immigration sits at 48%, one point from his lowest rating in September.
    • The current rating is 3 points lower than last month.
    • Likewise, disapproval on this issue has increased 3 points to 51%, matching the previous September high.
  • The president has also lost ground on Healthcare, something that has become increasingly important to voters as the Affordable Care Act (ACA or "Obamacare") subsidies have expired.
    • Forty-three percent (43%) currently approve. This is a 4-point decrease from last month.
    • More than half of voters (55%) disapprove, which is 3 points higher than in December.
    • On this issue, voters are also dissatisfied with the Affordable Care Act, with two thirds saying it needs significant revision.
  • On the Economy, voters' most important issue, 44% approve, a 1-point increase from December.
    • More than half (55%) disapprove, 1 point lower than last month.
  • The president's approval on Inflation has remained unmoved this month, with 39% approving and 59% disapproving.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, January 21-22, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
