As chaos growns in Minneapolis, in a survey conducted just prior to the shooting of Alex Pretti, the president's approval on Immigration sits at 48%, one point from his lowest rating in September.
- The current rating is 3 points lower than last month.
- Likewise, disapproval on this issue has increased 3 points to 51%, matching the previous September high.
The president has also lost ground on Healthcare, something that has become increasingly important to voters as the Affordable Care Act (ACA or "Obamacare") subsidies have expired.
- Forty-three percent (43%) currently approve. This is a 4-point decrease from last month.
- More than half of voters (55%) disapprove, which is 3 points higher than in December.
- On this issue, voters are also dissatisfied with the Affordable Care Act, with two thirds saying it needs significant revision.
On the Economy, voters' most important issue, 44% approve, a 1-point increase from December.
- More than half (55%) disapprove, 1 point lower than last month.
The president's approval on Inflation has remained unmoved this month, with 39% approving and 59% disapproving.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, January 21-22, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
