  • Just 28% of registered voters rate the economy as Good or Excellent, down 1 point from 2 weeks ago.
    • Thirty-nine percent (39%) rate the economy as Poor, up 1 point from 2 weeks ago.
    • This is the highest number of voters to rate the economy as Poor since the tariffs were first announced in April, when 42% rated it the same.
    • Just 43% of Republicans say the economy is Good or Excellent, down 13 points a month ago but the same as 2 weeks ago. Eighteen percent (18%) say the economy is Poor.
    • Democrats' views are even more pessimistic: just 15% say the economy is Good or Excellent, while 56% say it is Poor.
  • Only 26% of voters say the economy is getting better, and 54% say it is getting worse.
    • Forty-six percent (46%) of Republicans say it is getting better (down 6 points from 2 weeks ago), and 26% say it is getting worse.
    • A mere 9% of Democrats say the economy is getting better (down 3 points from 2 weeks ago), while 80% of Democrats say it is getting worse.
  • The sharp decline in economic confidence may be linked to the long government shutdown that ended last week.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, November 17-18, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
