Voters make a clear distinction between different groups of illegal immigrants.
Large majorities favor deporting those who have committed crimes (81%) or failed to show up for immigration hearings (67%).
- This includes majorities of both Republicans and Democrats.

The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen June 23-24, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
