  • The more voters learn about Maduro, the more they support his removal, even if there is sharp disagreement over the method employed for it.
    • Part of the reason for this support is that, given no other information, 74% either claim Maduro is not the legitimate president (38%), or are not sure (36%).
    • Just 25% say he is the rightful president.
  • When told of the contested 2024 election, voters view Maduro even more skeptically, saying he is not the legitimate president by a 61% to 14% margin.
    • With this knowledge, 25% say they are not sure.
  • By the time voters learn that Democrats in Congress and the European Union deny the legitimacy of Maduro's presidency, 57% of voters at least Somewhat Support removing Maduro from office.
    • Thirty-one percent (31%) at least Somewhat Oppose it.
    • These numbers include 27% who Strongly Support it and 16% who Strongly Oppose it.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, January 7-8, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
