  • Just 34% of voters favor issuing driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. A majority (54%) are opposed.
    • Just 15% Strongly Favor the idea, while 39% Strongly Oppose it.
    • Just 28% of Republicans support the idea, while a plurality (46%) of Democrats favor it.
  • Showing the disconnect between the political world and the majority of voters, half (51%) of voters who talk politics Every Day or Nearly Every Day support issuing licenses to illegal immigrants.
  • Nearly 7 in 10 voters (69%) oppose issuing a Commercial Driver's License with "No Name Given."
    • Just 20% disagree and say a person should not have to provide documentation to prove their identity or give their full name.
    • Large majorities of Republicans (74%) and Democrats (64%) agree that documentation should be required.
  • A plurality (47%) of voters also oppose giving a license to someone who cannot speak English.
    • Thirty-nine percent (39%) support providing licenses even if a person does not speak English.
    • Sixty-three percent (63%) of Republicans oppose providing a license to non-English speakers.
    • In contrast, 57% of Democrats say it should be allowed.
