  • Just over half (51%) of voters disapprove of how President Trump is handling the situation in Minneapolis. A Napolitan News survey found that 40% approve.
    • Those numbers include 40% who Strongly Disapprove, compared to just 19% who Strongly Approve.
    • Unsurprisingly, Democrats overwhelmingly disapprove (84%).
    • Conversely, 74% of Republicans approve, though more than half of that support (38%) is soft.
  • Meanwhile, 47% believe the efforts of ICE are a bigger problem than the efforts of local leaders and activists to resist them, while 39% disagree.
    • Trump-policy voters and Traditional Republican voters are more fairly aligned on this topic, but nearly 3 times as many Traditional Republican voters (13%) have not made up their minds yet on the issue.
  • The only groups to blame local leaders and activists more are those who report not following the story closely.
    • Those who report following the issue Very Closely overwhelmingly say ICE is the bigger problem (61% to 33%).
  • Currently, 36% say they are following the story Very Closely and another 40% report following it Somewhat Closely.
    • To put this in perspective, just 22% reported following the Epstein story Very Closely.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, January 26, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
