  • Fifty-eight percent (58%) of voters at least Somewhat support ICE's mission to deport illegal immigrants, while 36% disapprove.
    • These totals include 31% who Strongly Approve, and 24% who Strongly Disapprove.
    • Republicans support the mission by a staggering 88% to 8% margin.
    • Democrats take the opposite view, disapproving by a 65% to 31% margin.
  • Still, fewer voters (53%) have at least a Somewhat Favorable view of ICE as an agency.
    • Thirty-nine percent (39%) disapprove of the organization.
  • As questions of method come into play, things begin to take on a stalemate. By a 49% to 42% margin, voters favor the targeting of sanctuary cities.
    • Voters are evenly split (45% to 44%) on whether they favor or oppose the practice of officers wearing masks during operations.
  • On both of these measures, voters who prefer Trump-like policies overwhelmingly favor them, while voters preferring traditional Republican policies are less enthusiastic.
    • Nearly 9 in 10 Trump-policy voters (88%) favor targeting sanctuary cities, with most of that support being Strong.
    • Meanwhile, 56% of traditional-Republican voters favor targeting sanctuary cities, with most of that support being only Somewhat.
    • On the issue of agents wearing masks, 83% of Trump-policy voters support the practice. The majority of that group is again Strongly supportive.
    • Meanwhile, just a plurality (47%) of traditional Republican voters support the policy. Again, the majority of that support is only Somewhat.
  • Overwhelming majorities of voters who prefer AOC-type policies or traditional Democratic policies are united in their dislike of both practices.
  • It is important to note that for decades, a solid majority of Americans have considered legal immigration good, and illegal immigration bad.
    • Currently, 64% hold that view.
    • Another 14% believe all immigration (legal and illegal) is good.
    • Just 13% of voters believe legal immigration is bad.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, November 17-18, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
