  • Fifty-three percent (53%) of voters say there is no point to reforming our immigration system until we first secure the border.
    • That is down 5 points from October, and 13 points from January.
    • That is a new low, and one of several signs that more voters either think the issue has been addressed, or has gone too far
    • Three quarters (73%) of Republicans at least Somewhat Agree with this statement, while half (49%) of Democrats disagree.
  • Fifty-six percent (56%) now say the border is at least Somewhat Secure, while 32% disagree.
    • Those numbers include 17% who say it is Very Secure and 8% who say it is Not At All Secure.
    • Nearly 7 in 10 Republicans (68%) say the border is at least Somewhat Secure, compared to 49% of Democrats.
    • Under Joe Biden in 2022, 21% said the border was secure.*

* Note that the answer choices for this survey were Yes, No, Not Sure.

 


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, December 8-9, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
