  • Forty-two percent (42%) now say deportations have gone too far, up 5 points from October, and surpassing previous highs of 40%.
    • Another 27% say deportations have not gone far enough, and 22% say the number has been about right.
    • Just 14% of Republicans say the deportations have gone too far, compared to 69% of Democrats.
    • A majority (54%) of voters who prefer Trump-like policies say deportations have not gone far enough, while just 25% of voters who prefer Traditional Republican policies agree.
  • Just over half (52%) of voters at least Somewhat Favor the Trump Administration's efforts to deport illegal immigrants, while 42% oppose it.
    • That's the lowest favorability for 2025, while opposition is at a new high.
    • The overall number includes 30% who Strongly Favor it and 22% who Strongly Oppose it.
  • It is important to note that not all those who support the deportation of illegal immigrants approve of the tactics being used.
  • Overall, 62% of voters say the Trump Administration is serious about trying to secure the border.
    • When Joe Biden was in office, that number was 25%.
  • It is important to remember that the solid majority of voters (62%) say that legal immigration is good, while illegal immigration is bad.
    • Another 19% say all immigration is good.
    • Just 11% of voters say all immigration is bad.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, December 8-9, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
